Hamptons Guide: Christmas Tree

There are a lot of beautiful tree lots in the Hamptons where you can select and purchase a beautiful Christmas tree for the holidays (Serene Green here in Sag Harbor has a great selection). This year, I wanted to try something different with my family and visit a tree farm to cut our own Christmas tree. It was a great experience and I would definitely do it again. We chose to visit Lewin Christmas tree farm in Calverton. The whole process was simple and fun. You begin by renting a saw (or you can bring your own) and then board a trailer (face masks on!) that drives you out to the fields to select and cut your own tree. Large or small, all trees cost cost $45. We covered a lot of ground, running to keep up with my sons from one tree to the next before settling on “The One”. After you cut your tree, it’s tagged and boarded on a cart on the trailer. The tree is then tied and ready for you to take home.
