As a pizza lover and a Chef, when another Chef recommends a pizza joint to me, I’ve got to give it a try and that’s how MOTO Pizza came on my radar. MOTO Pizza has several locations in Seattle and fortunately for me, one in Edmonds where I was spending the day working on new projects. Known for its unique approach to pizza, MOTO Pizza offers a diverse menu that includes both classic and innovative options, catering to a variety of tastes. The vibe of the pizza shop is fun with bright graffiti and cars and the pizza boxes play right into the theme so it’s all very well branded. The pies are like a Detroit style pizza with a nice airy crust in the center, and crispy on the edges. The pizza has a great sourdough taste to it—made from 100 year old sourdough starter—which I really enjoyed. On this visit we tried two of MOTO’s pizzas. We ordered The Crab!—Dungeness crab, MOTO cheese blend, parmesan, butter, dill, lemon zest, lemon juice, and thyme. I really like the brightness that the dill brought, it was unique and really worked well with the crab. And we ordered the Plant—seasonal greens, cabbage, MOTO cheese blend, parmesan, garlic sauce, tomato sauce, sea salt, and black sesame seeds. I really, like the plant the portions of each topping were correct so that no one item overwhelmed the others and everything was seasoned well and came together to create the perfect pizza bite.

MOTO Pizza is also known for their soft serve that comes in a cup or pizza dough pipe cone. It looked tasty but I didn’t try it, though dessert lovers should know, it’s an option! With their unique and tasty topping options, and a really great crust, MOTO Pizza is definitely a Seattle foodie spot that I would recommend.
