Bel Ami Cafe

Address | 30 E 68th St, New York, NY 10065

Bel Ami Cafe on New York City’s Upper East Side is a charming French-style cafe. Known for its chic and casual ambiance and authentic French pastries, it's a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. With small sidewalk tables and an indoor banquette you can enjoy your beverages and bites at Bel Ami or take them to go.

Bel Ami cafe offers a variety of French-inspired dishes and baked goods, including croissants, quiches, sandwiches, and salads. We stopped in for a light lunch of salads and iced teas to cool off on a warm and sunny day. I enjoyed the poached salmon salad on a generous bed of crisp mixed greens. Complementing the salmon was avocado, crisp radishes, and a hard boiled egg and I drizzled Bel Ami’s lemon dressing over everything for a tasty bite. Lynette had the Nicoise salad, a staple of French cuisine. This classic salad features tuna, crisp green beans, plump cherry tomatoes, briny olives, and boiled eggs, all artfully arranged atop a bed of crisp mixed greens. The salad was brought together with a tangy vinaigrette dressing.

Bel Ami Cafe is also known for its excellent coffee, with a selection of espresso drinks, drip coffee, and specialty beverages.

Whether you're looking for a quick caffeine fix or a leisurely lunch with friends, the Bel Ami cafe provides a welcoming atmosphere to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. It's a popular spot for breakfast, brunch, or a midday pick-me-up, and many patrons return for the cozy ambiance and delicious French pastries.
