Le Jules Verne: A Towering Culinary Experience

Le Jules Verne, named after the famous French novelist Jules Verne, is a temple of gastronomy that occupies the Eiffel Tower's second level. The restaurant's unique location provides diners with breathtaking panoramic views of the Seine River, the Trocadéro Gardens, and many of Paris's iconic landmarks. With a private entrance and elevator, those with a reservation avoid the chaos and crowds with an elegant, private, ride to the top. From the moment you step into the glass elevator that whisks you to the restaurant, you know you're in for a memorable experience.

Le Jules Verne: The Lunchtime Delight

Choosing to dine at Le Jules Verne for lunch offers a distinct experience with clear and stunning views of Paris and a dinning experience that extends over three hours so diners can fully immerse themselves in the setting and savor each bite You’ll have the option to choose from the À La Carte Menu or one of two tasting menus.

Le Jules Verne: Notable Menu Highlights

While each dish was exceptionally executed, there were a few favorites that stood out.

  • Tomato amuse-bouches—a tasse of cold tomato soup with buffalo milk served along side a tomato tart. This dish was incredible and the roasted tomato was bursting with flavor and seasoning for the perfect small bite.

  • Crab—flavored with tarragon, Granny Smith apple, cider soup. This dish had a cold and hot element. The cool, citrusy, Granny Smith apple foam with crab beneath was a wonderful contrast to the warm crab cider soup.

  • Mature cheese with black truffle. When in Paris (or anywhere in France for that matter) do indulge in the cheese offerings. This was delicious, rich and creamy, the perfect combination with truffle, and served with gold dust and a light roll.

  • Langoustine—roasted, parmesan cream, thin truffle jelly, creamy risotto. The texture of the langoustine was perfection and a delicious combination with the truffle jelly. The risotto burst with flavor and had an excellent texture.

  • Wine—the sommelier at Le Jules Verne was wonderful at pairing the perfect bottle to accompany our meal.

  • At the end of the meal, each diner is given a chocolate booklet with a beautiful quote engraved on the case, a momento to enjoy later.
