Popu Bistro à Pizza

Address | 12 Rue du Champ de Mars, 75007 Paris, France and 116 rue des Dames, 75017 Paris

One cool September evening in Paris—just after the official start of the autumn season— we decided that our dinner plan would be to enjoy a walk in the Parc Monceau area where we were staying and dine wherever our interest was piqued. That was how we came upon Popu Bistro à Pizza nestled amidst the romantic ambiance of Parisian streets. The warm and casual atmosphere and the promise of one of my favorite meals—pizza, made settling into a couple of seats at an al fresco table an easy choice. We settled in with a cold beer and a crisp Aperol Spritz while reviewing the menu.

Popu Bistro à Pizza: The Menu

We started with an order of from the salad menu of CABÉCOU RÔTIY: Roasted Cabécou goat cheese, courgettes, cauliflower, red, radish, red onions, apple, romaine lettuce, fresh spinach, fresh, mint and citrus fruit vinaigrette. The portion size was certainly to share and the salad with a bit of bite from the Cabécou goat cheese was delicious.

Next of course we had to try Popu’s authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas. The menu boasts an array of creative and classic options, each promising a burst of flavors. As always, I had to order the MARGUERITE—Provence tomato sauce, fresh tomme cheese, Baux de Provence extra virgin olive oil, parsley. From the crisp, thin crust to the tantalizing blend of fresh ingredients, every bite was tasty. We also ordered the PARIS-CEPES—all mushrooms VIsigny crème fraîche AOC, creamed ceps, fresh tomme cheese, fresh brown button and Paris mushrooms, white pepper, parsley. The ingredients were clearly of high quality, thinly sliced mushroom and the balance of flavors was impeccable. Finally, I ordered the COCHONNELLE— trio of deli meats Provence tomato sauce, fresh tomme cheese, freshly cut trio of, deli meats: Bayonne salt-cured ham (12 months), Prince de Paris, cooked ham, dried-cured sausage from Aveyron, fresh spinach.

Dining at Popu Pizzeria was a culinary adventure that left a lasting impression. The impeccable service, cozy ambiance, and, most importantly, the delectable food, make this pizzeria a must-visit in Paris. Whether you're a pizza enthusiast or simply someone looking to savor the best of Italian cuisine in the heart of Paris, Popu Pizzeria promises a gastronomic journey that will linger in your memory long after you've left.

So, if you find yourself strolling the enchanting streets of Paris, make sure to get a table at Popu Bistro à Pizza. Prepare your taste buds for a treat, and let the skilled chefs take you on a savory escapade that celebrates the art of pizza making and the joy of exquisite dining. After all, some experiences are not just meals; they are memories in the making.
