Vegan Tucson: 5 Points Market & Restaurant
5 Points Market & Restaurant

We kicked off our second day at the AGTA Fair in Tucson the best way possible: with a team breakfast at 5 Points Market & Restaurant. After a full first day of gemstones, meetings, and nonstop walking the show floor, we knew we needed something that felt grounding—good coffee, real fuel, and a place where everyone could find something they’d actually be excited to eat. 5 Points delivered on all of it.
The vibe is warm and welcoming, the kind of neighborhood spot that instantly feels like a Tucson staple. It’s casual but thoughtful, with a menu that’s both comforting and creative—exactly what you want before heading back into the buzz of the fair. And for vegan diners, it’s a standout. Instead of the usual “side salad and plain toast” situation, there are genuinely satisfying plant-based options that feel intentional and well-balanced.
It’s the kind of place where you can start the morning with an oat milk cappuccino, share a few bites across the table, and take a breath before the day really begins. Between the flavorful vegan-friendly plates and the easygoing atmosphere, it set the tone for a productive, energized day at AGTA—one delicious bite at a time.
Morning Beverages
I started with an oat milk cappuccino, and it was the perfect way to ease into the morning. Warm, frothy, and just the right balance of espresso and creamy oat milk, it felt like a little moment of comfort before the food even arrived. The cappuccino had that rich coffee depth you want, but the oat milk gave it a subtle natural sweetness and a silky finish that made every sip extra cozy.
It set the tone for the whole breakfast—simple, satisfying, and thoughtfully done. Sitting there with the cappuccino in hand, it was easy to slow down, take in the atmosphere, and get excited for what was coming next.
We couldn’t resist ordering one of 5 Points’ palomas—and it was exactly the kind of bright, refreshing cocktail that feels right in Tucson. Light, citrusy, and perfectly balanced, it had that crisp grapefruit bite with just enough sweetness to keep it smooth and easy to sip.
It was the ideal little reset between coffee and a full day at the AGTA Fair: energizing without being heavy, and effortlessly fun. Sitting there with our team, plates on the table and the morning sun starting to warm everything up, the paloma felt like a small celebration—one of those “we’re really here” moments. A cocktail that’s simple in concept, but so well executed, it instantly became part of the memory of the morning.
Sweet Potato Breakfast Plate
The Sweet Potato Breakfast Plate is the kind of dish that instantly makes you slow down and actually taste your breakfast. It arrives warm and vibrant, built around a Japanese white sweet potato that’s perfectly cooked—tender and buttery with that naturally delicate sweetness that feels both comforting and clean. It’s hearty without being heavy, and it sets the stage for everything else on the plate.
The confit local mushrooms are the real scene-stealers: deeply savory, silky, and rich in that slow-cooked way that tastes like someone took their time on purpose. They bring an earthy depth that plays beautifully against the sweet potato, creating that sweet-meets-umami balance that’s so satisfying first thing in the morning.
Then comes the cashew crema, adding a smooth, luxurious finish that ties everything together. It’s creamy and slightly nutty, mellowing the heat and rounding out the flavors without overpowering the vegetables. The serrano salsa adds the perfect pop—bright, zippy, and just spicy enough to wake up your palate. And the fresh cilantro on top brings a final hit of green freshness that makes every bite feel alive.
It’s a breakfast plate that feels nourishing, thoughtful, and honestly a little addictive.
