LT Burger Sag Harbor

Address | 62 Main St, Sag Harbor, NY 11963

Right in the heart of Sag Harbor’s Main St., LT Burger has long been a favorite for casual eats and comfort food classics, but did you know they also offer a satisfying option for plant-based diners? Whether you're a local or just visiting for a Hamptons weekend, the Veg Out burger at LT Burger is a surprisingly delightful find for anyone seeking vegan-friendly fare.

On a warm late afternoon stroll through town before heading to see a summer hit at Sag Harbor Cinema, we stopped in for a relaxed bite and were thrilled to see a veggie burger on the menu that didn’t feel like an afterthought. The Veg Out burger is made from a house blend of brown rice and black beans, offering both texture and flavor that feel hearty and wholesome. It’s topped with fresh avocado, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, jack cheese, and a sweet, tangy BBQ sauce that ties it all together beautifully. While the default comes with jack cheese, LT Burger is happy to sub in vegan cheese upon request, making it an easy swap for a fully plant-based version. Nestled in a toasted wheat bun, the whole thing is messy in the best way, stacked tall and dripping with flavor.

The patty itself has a great sear and isn’t overly mushy—a common issue with veggie burgers. Instead, it strikes a satisfying balance between crispy edges and tender bite, with the beans and rice adding body and a slightly smoky finish. The creamy avocado and BBQ sauce offer richness and a pop of sweetness, while the lettuce and tomato keep it fresh. It's a burger you can really sink your teeth into and feel good about.

No burger experience is complete without fries, and we couldn’t resist ordering a side of LT Burger’s sweet potato fries. These are golden, crispy, and generously portioned—ideal for sharing or for polishing off solo if you’re feeling indulgent. With just the right amount of salt and a slightly caramelized edge, they’re the kind of fries that keep you reaching for more. If you're dining in, ask for their ketchup or spicy mustard on the side for dipping; it adds an extra punch of flavor that complements the natural sweetness of the fries.

While LT Burger isn’t an all-vegan spot, it’s a welcoming place for mixed groups and families with dietary preferences across the board. Another vegan menu options is the Kale & Wheat Berry Salad. The vibe is laid-back and kid-friendly, with vintage Americana decor and a soundtrack of classic tunes that make it a fun, nostalgic place to hang out. It’s right on Main Street, making it a convenient lunch stop after browsing the local shops or before catching a film at the nearby Sag Harbor Cinema.

If you’re looking for a solid vegan meal in the Hamptons that doesn’t sacrifice flavor or fun, LT Burger delivers. The Veg Out burger with sweet potato fries hits all the right notes for a casual, comforting, and satisfying plant-based option—no compromise necessary.
