Vegan in the Hamptons: Harbor Market

Vegan in the Hamptons: Harbor Market

Harbor Market

Address | 184 Division St, Sag Harbor, NY 11963

This summer we’re dining around the Hamptons to find the best vegan options at some of our favorite spots. Whether you're a full-time vegan, trying out more plant-based meals, or simply curious, the East End offers everything from casual market bites to elegant waterfront dinners. In this guide, we’ll explore the best of what the Hamptons has to offer—from breakfast cafés and beachside lunch counters to upscale evening spots—proving that eating vegan here isn’t just possible, it’s downright delicious. This morning we headed to Harbor Market in Sag Harbor.

Harbor Market is a breezy, sunlit spot that can help you set the tone for plant-based mornings in the Hamptons. Tucked just off the main street, this local favorite draws a steady stream of beachgoers, creatives, and food lovers with its easygoing vibe and fresh, flavorful offerings. Whether you're fueling up before a paddleboard session or easing into the day with a coffee and a book, it's an ideal starting point for anyone seeking vegan options that don’t compromise on taste or style.

Being a warm, golden July morning in Sag Harbor, we started our visit to Harbor Market with an order of iced coffees. At the coffee bar guests will find oat and almond milk on offer for plant-based guests. We went with oat milk for our iced coffees, which arrived perfectly brewed—strong, smooth, and refreshing, exactly what we needed to ease into the morning.

For breakfast, we shared two standout vegan options. First up was the Harbor Market Breakfast Bowl, a hearty and satisfying combination of scrambled tofu, sautéed leeks, roasted tomatoes, quinoa salad, smoky tempeh bacon, and fresh avocado. Each bite brought a different texture and layer of flavor, with the tofu and tempeh adding just the right amount of richness. We topped it off with a generous splash of hot sauce, which gave the whole bowl a perfect spicy kick. It was well-balanced, nourishing, and deeply flavorful—exactly the kind of meal that feels good to eat and keeps you full well into the afternoon.

We also tried the Coconut Yogurt Bowl, a lighter option that felt like summer in a bowl. Creamy, non-dairy coconut yogurt was layered with house-made granola, ripe banana slices, and a colorful mix of fresh berries. It was just sweet enough and incredibly refreshing, with the granola adding a satisfying crunch. Whether you’re craving something savory or sweet, Harbor Market’s vegan breakfast offerings are a strong way to start a Hamptons morning.

Harbor Market is a gem for vegan breakfast in Sag Harbor—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Whether you’re in the mood for something hearty or light, their plant-based options deliver both taste and satisfaction in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Do note, however, that seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. On busy summer mornings, that can mean a bit of a wait. If you're short on time or prefer a change of scenery, we recommend taking your meal to go. With so many beautiful spots just steps away—whether it’s a shaded bench near the marina, a sandy stretch of beach, or a quiet patch of grass overlooking the harbor—you’ll find the perfect place to savor your breakfast al fresco. Harbor Market makes it easy to eat well and feel good, and with a little planning, it can be the perfect start to your day in the Hamptons.
