Vegan in the Hamptons: Naturally Good

Naturally Good

Address | 779 Montauk Hwy, Montauk, NY 11954

There are just a few weeks left of the high season for summer in the Hamptons and we want to continue sharing with you how to maximize eating the best vegan and plant-based foods in the Hamptons. Of course, dinner parties at home and backyard gatherings are a great summer in the Hamptons tradition—and we have some of the best vegan and plant-based recipes to make those memories tasty and magical! But…for those times when you want tasty, healthy, plant-based foods on the go or to enjoy an elegant evening out in one of the beautiful hamlets, our vegan in the Hamptons Guide has got you covered. Today we’re excited to feature Naturally Good in Montauk.

We’ve been heading to the easternmost tip of Long Island—Montauk (aka the end of the world)—relatively frequently lately for business and it’s given us the chance to explore some of the delicious vegan plant-based dining options in Montauk. In the center of town, Naturally Good is an established cafe and market that offers organic, natural foods. This cafe is one of those perfect spots where you can curate a tasty, gourmet beach picnic basket selecting from prepared foods, beverages, and wholesome snacks, or, if you have the time, to snag a seat on their comfortable outdoor couches and enjoy the vibrant scenes of Montauk while indulging in a naturally delicious breakfast, lunch or coffee break.

Usually we stop at Naturally Good in Montauk for iced coffees/iced teas and some natural cookies for our drive back to Sag Harbor, but yesterday we landed at Naturally Good right around lunchtime so it was a good opportunity to try some of their lunch items. Naturally Good cafe offers a variety of breakfast options, salads, smoothies, sandwiches and wraps and a Mexican cuisine menu. On our recent lunch visit we grabbed Emma’s Hummus Wrap and the Lentil Salad. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and taking in the buzz and bustle of the farmer’s market and surfers and summer vacationers coming and going from the shops.

Emma’s Hummus Wrap folds rich, creamy hummus, with fresh tomato, crisp cucumber and carrots, red cabbage, scallions, and a nutty sesame vinaigrette, in a whole wheat wrap. It’s the perfect summer lunch, leaving you full and satisfied without feeling heavy. The lentil salad had a nice zippy taste with a sherry wine vinegar with some fresh scallion and tomatoes to enhance the textures and flavors of the salad.

If you find yourself enjoying the surf, swim and laidback vibes of Montauk, be sure to stop into Naturally Good where you’ll find great vegan and plant-based menu items and a casual airy vibe. While the menu is not an exclusively vegan one, it’s certainly vegan-friendly with a nice array of options. The menu is full of colorful smoothies, salads, sandwiches, and fresh Mexican cuisine. Naturally Good is proof that vegan and plant-based eating in the Hamptons is not only possible but a true delight.

Let us know which cafes and restaurants from our vegan in the Hamptons guide that you’ve tried or if you have some favorites that we’ve missed and we’ll be sure to visit and review! Cheers to your health and wellness!
